About Nuuk Local Museum

The museum opened to the public in January 2017, and is placed in Nuuks beautiful old harbour, where it is housed in an old boatyard.
In the museum you can find a collection of objects, that is donated from the locals and the public institutions.

Visiting the museum, takes you back to the time around 50'ies and 60'ies, where Nuuk was on its peak on becoming the capital. We also have more modern exhibitions that reflects the local culture.
